Pikachu Celebrates Akita's Festival of Lights - Kanto Matsuri!
This charming Pikachu plush toy is dressed to take part in the spectacular Kanto Festival in Akita Prefecture. The back of the costume is adorned with a design featuring Landorus , known as the " God of the Fields ", symbolizing a prayer for a good harvest and the power of nature.
What is the Kanto Festival?
The Akita Kanto Festival is one of Tohoku's most famous summer festivals. During the festival, participants balance up to 12-meter-high Kanto poles , decorated as shining rice stalks, on their palms or foreheads to pray for a bountiful harvest. The twinkling rice stalks light up the summer evening and create a magical atmosphere.
